چکیده

The interactions of a series of urea based neutral hydrogen bond donor anion receptors have been investigated with i) alkylcarbamate anions formed by the reaction of carbon dioxide with primary aliphatic amines and ii) the zwitterionic species formed by the reaction of carbon dioxide with 1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidine. Significant downfield chemical shift changes were observed for the urea NH protons in many cases, consistent with host : anion hydrogen bonding interactions, and thus stabilisation of the carbon dioxide bound species. In the case of the alkylammonium-alkylcarbamate salts, this represents successful competition with electrostatic interactions between the alkylcarbamate and alkylammonium components of the salt. A synchrotron structure of a ternary complex formed by an amide appended diindolylurea, the ammonium carbamate salt formed by 1,3-diaminopropane and CO(2) and 18-crown-6, was elucidated and shows the carbamate group bound by six hydrogen bonds (accepting five and donating one) to the functionalised diindolylurea.

Evaluation of Some Methods for Preparing Glipizide-β-Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complexes

Glipizide has been found to form inclusion complexes with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) in solution and in solid state. The present study was undertaken to determine a suitable method for scaling up glipizide-β-CD inclusion complex formation and to evaluate the effect of some parameters on the efficiency of complexation. The solid inclusion complexes of glipizide and β-CD were prepared at a molar...

Solid State Fermentation for Production of Chitosan by Aspergillus Niger

The effect of Solid State Fermentation (SSF) on Chitosan production by A. niger was investigated. A. niger BBRC 20004 from Biochemical and Bioenvironmental Research Centre of Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran), was grown on corn residue. Chitosan was extracted from the fungal mycelia using hot alkaline and acid treatment. A. niger was incubated for 12 days on corn residue with moist...

In-vitro – In-vivo Characterization of ‎Glimepiride Lipid Nanoparticulates ‎Prepared by Combined Approach of ‎Precipitation and Complexation

Novel lipid nanoparticulates (NCs) were developed by a combined approach of precipitation and complexation with an aim to improve the solubility, stability and targeting efficiency of glimepiride (GLP). GLP NCs were prepared by precipitation process using PEG 20000 and further complexed with phospholipon90G (P90G). The NCs were evaluated for physicochemical characterization, such as drug lo...

The self-complexation of mono-urea-functionalized pillar[5]arenes with abnormal urea behaviors.

Mono-urea-functionalized pillar[5]arenes were prepared which exhibited abnormal urea behaviors. They were shown to form pseudo[1]rotaxanes with poor anion binding abilities in solution and [c2]daisy chains with an abnormal urea motif in the solid state.
